Ah right. I'll check it out. Thanks for your response. |

So, as far as I can see everything seems to be correctly configured. But still LHC@Home Computer Information shows as: Virtualization: Virtualbox (6.1.16) installed, CPU does not have hardware virtualization support Configuration checks I've performed. 1. Leomoon shows 2 green ticks: AMD-v Supported AMD-v Enabled 2. Within the BOINC data directory, client_state.xml file has vm_extensions set to 0: <p_vm_extensions_disabled>0</p_vm_extensions_disabled> 3. Task Manager - Performance tab shows Vitualisation as enabled: Virtualization: Enabled 4. Windows Features shows that all Hyper-V features are unselected. 5. BIOS shows SVM as enabled. SVM Mode: [ENABLED] 6. If I create a VirtualBox instance, under the System section for the instance, it shows: Acceleration: VT-x/AMD-V, NestedPaging, KVM Paravirtualization NOTE: I have also done a project update for LHC@Home as well. Any other ideas? |

BIOS could be buggy. I would reboot and turn off SVM then save and restart then go in again to bios and turn it on. long time since i used win but in windows you can go to system/task monitor then to cpu section and it should say that [virtualization enable]. Sometimes boinc-client loose connection to virtualbox and restart of client helps. If Virtualbox is full of failed vm:s it would need to cleaned out and system restart. |

1.Task Manager - Performance shows "Virtualization: Enabled" 2. VirtualBox There are no failed VM's. 3. System Shutdown I have performed multiple system shutdown and restarts since. Computer Information still shows "Virtualbox (6.1.16) installed, CPU does not have hardware virtualization support" Any other ideas? anyone? |

Thought I should also mention that I am getting SixTrack tasks, but not any other tasks. Preferences show - "Run only the selected applications (all applications)" |

For your Ryzen is Hardware-Acceleration disabled shown for your Computer- The Parameter in BIOS is SVM- It must be enabled for all Tasks with VM used (Sixtrack is running without Virtualbox). |

Computer Information still shows "Virtualbox (6.1.16) installed, CPU does not have hardware virtualization support" If you can't find the required settings you may try a BIOS update. The message written to the computer details page is based on the information your BOINC client gets from the OS and the OS gets it from the BIOS. Some of the BIOS settings can be changed by the OS but obviously not in this case. |

I do have "Run native if available" checked. This solved my problem and saved me diagnostics time. So my 2700x now has my the 1st ATLAS WU for me in since sometime in 2018. Back doing ATLAS till the summer months bring back the heat and it's time to shut down heat generators (home heating with science computing... everyone should dump their furnaces and put a heating computer in each room!) |

Some more to consider. I was having this problem after I decreased my MAX tasks from 18 to 17 in my perfectly working "app_config.xml" and had BOINC reload my config files. None of the suggestions in this thread had helped, but when I completely REMOVED the app-config and reloaded, this happened: 2/7/2024 10:52:20 AM | LHC@home | update requested by user 2/7/2024 10:52:23 AM | LHC@home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 2/7/2024 10:52:23 AM | LHC@home | Not requesting tasks: don't need (CPU: ; NVIDIA GPU: ) 2/7/2024 10:52:26 AM | LHC@home | Scheduler request completed 2/7/2024 10:52:26 AM | LHC@home | Project requested delay of 6 seconds 2/7/2024 10:52:43 AM | | Re-reading cc_config.xml 2/7/2024 10:52:43 AM | | Using proxy info from GUI 2/7/2024 10:52:43 AM | | Config file proxy info overridden by GUI 2/7/2024 10:52:43 AM | | Using HTTP proxy 192.168.1.125:3128 2/7/2024 10:52:43 AM | | Config: GUI RPC allowed from any host 2/7/2024 10:52:43 AM | | Config: use all coprocessors 2/7/2024 10:52:43 AM | | log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task, unparsed_xml 2/7/2024 10:52:46 AM | LHC@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 2/7/2024 10:52:46 AM | LHC@home | Requesting new tasks for CPU 2/7/2024 10:52:47 AM | LHC@home | update requested by user 2/7/2024 10:52:56 AM | LHC@home | Scheduler request completed: got 11 new tasks Perhaps there is a clue here for whomever is maintaining BOINC these days. And another workaround for others. I now use the "% CPUs" to control the number running. |

I do have "Run native if available" checked. Got some with this, thanks you. |
