Is this computer connected to the right venue?
Does it have VirtualBox installed?

Hi all, I have one specific host that will not download any CPU tasks.

This host has only run sixtrack so far and at the moment, sixtrack doesn't have work.

Other sub-projects need VirtualBox, did you install it already ? Did you allow the client, to get work from sub-projects other than sixtrack ? Note that the function "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" doesn't work here

This host has previously run WU ... not sure what changed. I haven't modified any options other than Resource Share.

That usually happens when the server has no tasks AND if you ask for the VB tasks but do not have VB installed.
Yours does say it has 5.2.8 but that is getting old as far as all the updates Oracle does.

So maybe just do the d/l/install/and reboot and then try again. (VB 5.2.16)

(I know some members say you don't need the Extension Pack but I always install that too and it takes about one minute to do that)

melk, you should definitly take a walk through this checklist

And by the way, I never saw an official statement from project-admins that VB 5.2.x is okay to use, so I for me stay with 5.1.x (I'm using 5.1.30 and can say, yes it works)

I can defiantly not recommend 5.2.x for ATLAS, for the other project it looks OK.

I am using 5.2.16 on my Linux box and 5.2.12 on my Windows 10 PC. They are both running Atlas@home, on 2 cores on the PC and on one core on the Linux box.

I've used all VirtualBox 5.2 versions up to 5.2.16 without any issue on my Windows machine mainly running ATLAS, sometimes Theory and CMS (when CMS available).

It must have just been a temporary thing, as the host has now downloaded a bunch of AVX SixTrack 46.30 tasks :)

Your Problem will be back as soon as Sixtrack has no more tasks
