Have been running LHC successfully for the past 3-4 weeks, but the past ~10 or so days, I've been plagued by critical virtual box errors. I usually wake up to between 2-5 errors (8 threads), so most projects error out before finishing. I've tried both repairing and uninstall/reinstalling BOINC + Vbox and have tested at least one alternate version of virtual box. Left for about 90 minutes just now and came back to 6 errors, so I'm ready to figure this out or find a new project.

Did my best to search through forum posts, but didn't find anything that seemed similar. Stumped, so I'm posting the tasks below. There are plenty more on that host; I'm not sure much if anything is making it through without erroring out. Sorry if this has already been solved somewhere,

I've seen this in the past sometimes, but not so frequently as you report.
I never choose one of the 2 options, but just ignore the pop-up by clicking the top right red X.
Not sure, but I suppose the reason is a busy system together with IMO wrong priority settings of VBoxSVC.exe and the wrapper.
The wrapper has standard the lowest (idle) priority and VBoxSVC.exe the 'normal' priority.
I've chosen to run both processes with the same priority 'below normal' and don't see these pop-ups and crashes anymore.

On linux I use "renice" to give the vboxwrapper a higher priority.
The Windows equivalent may be described here:
https://superuser.com/questions/620724/changing-windows-process-priority-via-command-line

It may be integrated in a script that runs periodically.

Is there a meaningful way to do this so it's not something I need to do every time a new task starts or every time I reset my computer? I see the suggestion to run a script periodically, but I'd rather apply a solution that fixes the issue permanently rather than running a recursive fix

For Windows you could try http://efmer.eu/download/boinc/priority/Priority_1_2.zip
With it you can set the processes you want to the same priority.
You are not able to differentiate priorities to several processes only to the same priority: e.g. VBoxSVC.exe and VBoxwrapper both to 'below normal.'
You have to make an entry in your system startup or create a registry key like
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "Priority"="\"C:\\Program Files\\BOINCTools\\TThrottle\\Priority64.exe\""

Came home today to 7/8 cores errored-out. I'll give this a shot and report back. Thanks for taking the time to lend advice!

Did you already take a walk through my checklist ?

To find out if it has something todo with overload of your client I would suggest to go down to only run 1 WU and see, if this finishes succesfull. And then with two and so on

Supporting BOINC, a great concept !

I have same issue (problem) so I had to move only on sixtrack.
On same PC hardware configuration, on win7 32 bit veriosn wokrs fine, but on 64bit, it just pop's up errors.
