Anyone else have this issue? When I go to this there's no "Edit preferences" link. http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/prefs.php?subset=project I can get to this page (as it's a common page on other projects) to edit them: http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/prefs_edit.php?subset=project But then there is no "Update preferences" box to save them Anyone help with this? regards, Tim UK BOINC Team Founder Join the UK BOINC Team: http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/newforum |

... http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/prefs.php?subset=project Your links refer to the old sixtrack server. If your clients are attached to that server you may reattach them to the new server and update the bookmarks in your browser. New server: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/ |

Sorry just saw the reply from computezrmle. Still this raises an issue about connection to lhcathome or lhcathomeclassic... Surely there should be just one with re-direction??? Maybe it is for some kind of backwards compatibility. It certainly confuses me. Eric. |

Some older BOINC clients cannot use secure communication with https, that is why we still keep the old lhcathomeclassic site available for a while as explained in this post. As announced in this post last year, the LHC@home URL for all new connections should be: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/ (or http://lhcathome.cern.ch that is redirected.) |

Is it possible to write those Volunteers a message under Boinc to upgrade? This Volunteer have problems to deattach the old Project: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/forum_thread.php?id=4329#30957 |

Hi all Thanks for the messages. I didn't know that LHC was now using a https server...and I had assumed that even if it had, both old http and new https URLs would "point" to the same database. I've now logged in on https server and all is well. My "older" BOINC version is 7.6.22, so a few steps away from current. I'll see about updating BOINC Manager to the current one ;-) regards, Tim UK BOINC Team Founder Join the UK BOINC Team: http://www.ukboincteam.org.uk/newforum |

Yep, I just had this same problem as UBT - Timbo. Except I'm on the latest BOINC version, 7.6.33. Changed my bookmark to new url, logged back in, and there's the Edit Preferences button I couldn't find before. |
