The badges from the old ATLAS project are now available here - they are of course different to what you have on the old project because the credit from LHC has not been moved over to LHC yet. For an explanation of the meaning of the badges see here:

http://atlasathome.cern.ch/badges.php

We are not sure how to manage the badges for length of time on the project, especially for people who had accounts on LHC long before ATLAS. For the moment we have reset the counter to the time when ATLAS went into production (21 March) and ATLAS-specific credit started to be counted properly.

I know, but it should be only temporary. When we migrate the credit we'll try to fix the starting dates so you get the correct badges.

1) My former total ATLAS credit has so far only been transferred to my account data.

2) In the section "Top participants (by application)", the total credit has NOT been added.

3) In neither of the above, the badges reflect the correct situation.

My credit badge went over, but my membership badge was degraded to a mere 30 days, while my sign-up date is 26-07-2014. you can check that here:
https://boincstats.com/en/stats/152/user/detail/3907 and here http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=userdate&proj=atl&startdate=16277

If you're going to have subprojects, you're going to have subproject statistics too. A start date per subproject seems to me a piece of information that is easiest to store at the subproject level itself.

Not to be a complainer or anything (you folks have enough to do), but my credit badge seems to be "stuck".

Note that badges are given for ATLAS credit, not total credit for all projects. You currently have 396664 ATLAS credits and the next badge will be given at 500000.

Was your ATLAS credit migrated properly before? I see that you currently have 2369 ATLAS credits.

Reviving an old thread but it is on topic

Id there any chance of adding further badges at the higher end of the scale? There are people with achievements far in excess of the maximum 5 million points badge.

Good point, however the main problem is we'd have to discover new particles or build new parts of ATLAS to make new badges :) But maybe we can think of other things to extend the scale.

Since the link to the badges explanation at the top of this thread is out of date, here is the right one: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/badges.php

Well we appear to be in the realm of the last point on that list

and in future the trigger system, the ATLAS cavern (featured in the second part of the introductory video), the Computing Center, the Pays de Gex, member states, the earth ... why not, who knows how far you will go ?

So "trigger system" for 10 million, "ATLAS cavern" for 50 million, "Computing Centre" for 100 million, "Pays de Gex" (pay office? I don't speak French) for 500 million ("pay office" seems appropriate even if it's not what it means)

One thing to note about ATLAS badges is that very few people have achieved the 5 million points to get the highest badge, as of now only 119 users, top 1% at least. While it's true that there's a big variance among the 119, having 5 million being the minimum for the highest badge doesn't seem unreasonable. Even 1 million points (second highest badge) puts you in at least top 5%, only 557 users have at least 1 million.

What I'd like to see is that the badge system be redone and the total contribution to LHC@home, credit for all sub-projects combined, be counted. If I'm not mistaking, ATLAS badging is a holdover from the days when ATLAS@home was its own thing and I don't think it makes sense anymore. David, or other admin, would that be too much of an undertaking?

Badges are no priority, because of so many work, done from Cern-IT.
You can see the best Computers, or the best Users, or the best Teams.
atm multiattach in Virtualbox is undergoing support for (Atlas, CMS and Theory) in -dev.
