The current ATLAS tasks are the same as the tasks running on ATLAS@Home. We are preparing a new set of tasks with new ATLAS software which require making a new version of the app with a new image. These new tasks will only run on LHC@Home and after the old tasks finish on ATLAS@Home we will not submit any more there. In order to prepare for the new version we are draining the current ATLAS tasks here. I will post another message when the new version and tasks are ready. At this point I would encourage people to move over to LHC@Home (as a reminder, the ATLAS@Home credit will be migrated here once all ATLAS tasks are done). |

- Will the subproject status change from "beta" to "production"? - Will the initial download size be reduced for the new batch (sorry that I ask this over and over again)? |

- Will the subproject status change from "beta" to "production"? Yes, if everything works properly - Will the initial download size be reduced for the new batch (sorry that I ask this over and over again)? No (sorry), but the tasks will run for longer - they will process 100 events instead of 50 events so your overall download traffic will be lower. |

Will the console of the new ATLAS-version be more informative. Now we only see: localhost login It would be nice to have the "top" command in the Console and the progress of the events processed. |

Will the console of the new ATLAS-version be more informative. Yes, please. Also, has suspend/resume been tested on this? For me jobs need to survive the host being shut down for >12h. Ideally without losing work in progress but definitely without generating spurious errors. |

Ok, I get the message :) I did try recently to run "top" on one of the consoles but it didn't work and I couldn't figure out why. I will try again to make it work. |

For me jobs need to survive the Well, CMS is certainly worse than Theory in this respect, perhaps because the tasks last longer, but both leave much to be desired; so I've largely given up on CMS now. Hopefully Atlas will be better... shame about the native version. |
