LOL.

You're not excited or anything like that.

:)

I got two on my dual core and one on my single core. My CI is very small as I run multiple projects.

I'm going to go play with the graphics for a while :)

Didn't give me much.

Almost 3 months waiting and I only get 2 WU's on the dual and nothing on the other P4 ........not even trying with the amd 3200.

It says it will take this dual about 5hrs to finish a supposed 2 days worth.

Oy vey.

Hm, quite odd...

As of now, I got 79 fresh WorkUnits in my Network.
(as my Cache is only 0.25 days and many Systems still filled with MalariaControl, otherwise it would likely be more - but since I'm no "LCH WorkUnit Sniper" I rather keep things 'as is' and take them as they come)

So if I run 20 pc's at the same time I might get 2 days worth?

Makes no sense that I only get 2 little ones on this dual and nothing on the other one and it is telling that one the same thing (also makes no sense)

And of course I have been here 24/7 for a long time now.

I even suspended the Einsteins to switch over for once.

(it looks like it will only take this one pc 4hrs to finish my 2 days worth)

......and the other machine still gets nothin'

I think the server has reduced your daily quota because there are many client errors in your WU's recently.

Yeah that made no sense either.....both of my machines got that and it did it over and over that day.

I was just sitting here (doing galaxy analysis) and caught the new WU's here and decided to see if it would work this time and it loaded those 2 on this dual pc and said the other one couldn't have any.

Now it appears it will only take 3hrs to do my 2 days worth.

If only it wasn't 3:50am here.......I would wait and see what would happen.

Believe me there is no reason why these machines shouldn't get more work.

They have no problem running the Einsteins ever.

I guess I will see what happens later when I wake up.......hope I get a bunch of work just to surprise me.

Thanks.............

@Magic:

There is really something wrong with your machines; have a look at:

http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/results.php?hostid=290347

You will see, that all WUs have the state "Error downloading".

You won't get many new WUs if you don't get this problem solved

Well! all my protons crashed at start up ;-)LoL maybe the protons of others crashed while downloading;-).

Would there be permanently work for the garfield application ?

Btw. I have also the problem to get some WUs. The server status shows about 15K with a disabled down-/upload server and scheduler.

When they open the spigot -- it'll be feasting time

And as I've said in the other threads it is us holding the spigot closed to try and build up a good supply, the disabled status is wrong. Garfield will have some work very soon (which may even work on Mac OSX)

Would Garfield has permanently work, or is it temporarly too ?

Please pardon my ignorance, but what does the "Garfield" application do? I assume it is different that SixTrack?

Garfield is a program to model drift chambers. Information is available here.

Hope this helps

The upload/download server is disabled.

No it's not. Even if you download the very latest server code and create a new project, upload/download always shows disabled on the server_status page. Same problem surely exists on the ages-old code that LHC still uses.
