Your personal background.
I live in a suburb of New York City with my wife, 2 girls, 2 cats, 2 dwarf hamsters, one cockatiel, and my latest passion, nine tarantulas! The tarantulas are fascinating and complex creatures. The ones I have originate from various habitats (ground dwelling, arboreal, and burrowing), and from both the Old World and the New World.

I like nature generally and love to hike, look at insects (and spiders of course! :), and I am fascinated by astronomy and our explorations of other planets in our solar system! :) There is also so much going on in the world of physics that affect our perceptions of ourselves, our reality, and our place in the universe. This is an exciting time to be alive! :D
Your opinions about LHC@home
I have been running distributed computing projects since the inception of SETI@home in the 1990's. For most of the past 3 years I have been dedicated to Folding@home, which has published numerous papers in various scientific peer-reviewed journals and made significant discoveries as a result of the work of many Folding@home volunteers! :)

I like to see distributed computing expanded to other worthwhile projects, and because I have been interested in reading about high energy physics for most of my life, as well as astromony and astrophysics, I have signed on to LHC@home and Einstein@home!
