Sorry but looks like I grabbed too much :))

We are submitting new work, but users download it faster than we can generate it, so server runs out of work now and then.

Would it make sense for you to limit the number of new LHC users signing onto the project until sufficient new work exists to more fully occupy their computers? Otherwise, people may pass over this project in favor of those that generate a more consistent workload.

Just a thought. Thank you. :)

The project is limited to 5000 users at present, and is fully subscribed. CERN will open up the membership when the server performance problems have been resolved fully.

Thank Berkeley for BOINC and multi project resource sharing...without it I'd be back on S@H classic. My machine finally ran out of LHC work last night and so it is now merrily crunching away on CPDN....shame my LHC rac is going to drop...but then again my CPDN rac is going to increase.

(Edit: Just while the note on the front page said too many connections - I received 23 wu's)

Contact server every 4 days. P4M@2.2GHz
Resource share 50% CPDN, 40% LHC, 9.9% SAH, 0.1% PIRATES (still haven't got my first work unit...not for want of trying of course).

ps...is this sig allowed?

Hi MikeW,
Where'd you get your all-in-one cross-project boincstats graphic? TIA.

You can get the graphic from BOINCStats.com by using the following format:

http://www.boincstats.com/stats/banner.php?cpid=xxx

Replace the xxx with the "BOINC Cross Platform IDentifier" found under your name on the BoincStats site, not necessarily the CPID from your BOINC project sites.

Thanks, thor.

EDIT: Is there some kind of sign-in procedure? All I got was a box with headings, no stats.

EDIT II: Thanks again. It helps if I use the right img src.

I'm relatively new to BOINC, only been using it for about a month now so I'm curious about the pirates@home project, is it open to sign up?
I haven't heard of it so was wondering what the deal is.
