Hi everyone. My VBox tasks are working. But i made the mistake of installing podman 3.4.4. I found the little page explaining how to install it and hoy to copy/paste: sudo usermod --add-subuids 100000-165535 --add-subgids 100000-165535 "My user ID" podman is detected when BOINc starts but my (heory) docker Wu are failing after a couple seconds. The simpler, the better. Uninstalling podman ? Copy/pasting a miraculous command ? Keep in mind i do not consider myself a pro bono employee of the CERN so i won't do convoluted things. The calculations are their problem after all. |

Theory (vbox) runs fine on your computers. Since you are also running ATLAS (vbox) it might be better not to run Theory (docker) to avoid conflicts. Instead, add '<dont_use_docker>1</dont_use_docker>' to the <options> section of your cc_config.xml. Then read config files. If docker is a MUST for you, your logfiles tell you what to do: Enable lingering So, - shutdown BOINC - run 'sudo loginctl enable-linger 124' (that's from your logfile) - start BOINC |

Thank you very much. I enabled lingering as it seemed simple. Now i have a virtualbox LHC theory work unit but i will keep you informed if i get additional docker ones |

Enabling lingering did not work. A docker unit started and failed. I have added a "do not use docker" and restarted BOINC. The events menu seems to take it into account. We will see if i still get docker WUs. |

After 18 virtualbox theory Work Units, i think i can say the "do not use docker" in the config file worked. :) |
