Had this job stalled a long time - see the last lines of the runRivet.log
It looks like it is looking for a non existing /usr/bin/python.
Debian 12 has /usr/bin/python3 and /usr/bin/python3.11. /usr/bin/python3 is a link to /usr/bin/python3.11.
I don't know if it was a coincident or if it made a difference but I linked /usr/bin/python to /usr/bin/python3.11 and a few seconds later the job started running again getting the first 'events processed' in the log.

Is this an issue or was it just a coincident?

Usually it doesn't matter which software is installed on your host.
Theory native tasks are running inside a container and get most software packages from CVMFS.
This ensures the scientific apps run in a well known environment.

Ok, so coincident.
