As the title say, Is there anyway to set local preferences that override the global project settings - I want one host to run only CMS jobs not any of the other LHC projects ? To begin with all my hosts is Linux with Boinc 8.02 Only one of my Linux hosts has Virtualbox and I want that host to run only CMS jobs. As I understand from the application page Virtualbox is a requirement for CMS on Linux as well as Windows. My other hosts are running all the other LHC projects but does not have Virtualbox so no CMS. Any ideas ? |

It must be configured via the project server. Open your prefs page: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/prefs.php?subset=project There you find 4 venues default, home, school, work. Pick one venue to be your "no vbox" and another one to be your "with vbox". For the "no vbox" venue enable Theory, ATLAS, SixTrack plus "Run native if available? (Not recommended for Windows)" For the "with vbox" venue enable CMS and disable "Run native if available? (Not recommended for Windows)" Then go to each computer details page. At the bottom you find a location list. For each computer pick the appropriate venue, then click "update location". |

It must be configured via the project server. Sometimes it's simple :) It's done just waiting for jobs to get available. Thanks ! |
