Switch what off? Run native if available? or If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? Can somebody explain why it works like that? |

If you only want Theory only select Theory Simulation: yes. All others apps: no As you are running Linux ans have successfully run Theory native apps already also select "Run native if available" and deselect if no work for selected aplications is availbale ..... btw. Why did you abort the Theory tasks? |

if "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" is on then it will take work from CMS, ATLAS, Sixtrack if there is no Theory tasks. If its off then your computer will go idle if there is no work from Therory. Assuming you only checked Therory above. If all work is avalible server will give you what it feels like |

I have checked only Theory. I don't have Atlas checked. |

See your computer details page. Each computer can be connected to 1 out of 4 venues - default, home, school, work. Each venue has it's individual set of parameters that can be enabled/disabled. So, follow the principles explained by other volunteers but check them for the venue your computer is attached to. |

it is connected to a default venue. When i enable " If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications" and only have Theory selected i get Atlas workunits. When i disable "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications" i get Theory workunits. Maybe it is because i use Nightly boinc build from https://boinc.berkeley.edu/linux_install.php ? |

Then check the settings for the default value. It looks like it works a expected for other computers (including mine). As long as you are the only one experiencing/reporting that issue it's most likely not a server issue. It is also not related to your local BOINC client since you configure it on the server rather than on the client. |
