Is this still a Windows 11 24H2 issue? the computers page is still showing this machine as not having virtualisation enabled

It's still your local Windows setup.
You need to completely disable all Hyper-V components and ensure Windows doesn't automatically enable it again in the background.
There are lots of comments about this here and in the VirtualBox forum.

I have followed the suggestions I found here but I still seem to be missing something, all the Virtualisation features look to be off in Windows features and I have core isolation off, what am I missing?

Have you restarted the computer specifically using Restart in the Start menu?

There is evidence that Fast Boot (normally the default) retains some state relating to Hyper-V. Using Restart rather than Shudown & reboot forces a full reinitialization, clearing all prior state information. Note that using the power button to turn the computer off does not force a full reinitialization but rather allows Fast Boot when the system is next turned on.

OK, it isn't just retained state. A while back (July 15) you said that
Virtualisation based security is running
If that is still true, it is enough to cause the problem. System Information (msinfo32) must show
Virtualization-based security Not enabled
in order for LHC@home to work. It's a bit tricky, since some of the recommendations that I see online for disabling VBS involve turning off hardware support for virtualization in BIOS which will also prevent LHC@home from running.

Sorry yea forgot about that, it is still showing as running, how do I disable it? I was under the impression that turning off memory integrity disabled VBS?

Try a search for "disable virtualization based security windows 11 pro 24h2" and look at the answers that come from learn.microsoft.com. It looks like a registry edit may be required. Also, you may be running into a UEFI lock introduced by Microsoft in 24H2. See the "Disable Credential Guard with UEFI lock" section in one of the learn.microsoft.com articles.

I tried to post links but for some reason the post never appeared.
