I have tried several times now to connect to the LHC@home project through the BOINC software to get some work units but I am unable to.

I am running the latest version of BOINC on my Fedora 37 Linux machine and was able to successfully create a user account for the project but when I try to connect to the project, all I get is a picture of two computers with a green dot bouncing back and forth between them a few times when it tries to connect and then the green dot will suddenly move over to one of the computers and the process stops and the application locks up forcing my to quit it. I sometimes will also get the scenario described above but then suddenly the application screen will go blank and the application will lockup requiring me to quit the application.

Does anybody know why this is happening? Do I need to do something special to fix this issue?

Thx

Are you connected to any other projects successfully?
You can try looking at the Event Log under the Tools menu or Crtl + Shift + E

Does it say anything helpful?

Checking for CVMFS
[2023-04-04 16:49:24] No cvmfs_config command found, will try listing directly
[2023-04-04 16:49:24] ls: cannot access '/cvmfs/atlas.cern.ch/repo/sw': No such file or directory
[2023-04-04 16:49:24] Failed to list /cvmfs/atlas.cern.ch/repo/sw
[2023-04-04 16:49:24] ** It looks like CVMFS is not installed on this host.
[2023-04-04 16:49:24] ** CVMFS is required to run ATLAS native tasks and can be installed following

https://cvmfs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/cpt-quickstart.html

[2023-04-04 16:49:24] ** and setting 'CVMFS_REPOSITORIES=atlas.cern.ch,atlas-condb.cern.ch' in /etc/cvmfs/default.local

I a running four BOINC projects. Two were joined several years ago. When I joined LHC@HOME a few years ago, and another project yesterday, I was unable to join the same team I joined for the two oldest projects. The "Team Search" cannot find the team I wish to join. I know it exists, as I can look at its stats by logging on to either of the older two projects. I am actually the Founder of the team. I have tried using the team name, words from the team name, and words from the team description. I always make sure that the country (United States) and team type (Company) are correct in the search fields, but the search returns 20-30 teams than have no apparent relevance to the search parameters I use. Anybody have an idea what I am doing wrong? I would really like to get credits applied to the team, as it has been around since the early days of SETI@HOME. Thanks.

I have been trying to get work, but it seems no work is available. There are work units showing on the server status site, but nothing comes through. anyone else having this issue?

SixTrack has no tasks (for months).
ATLAS/CMS/Theory vbox64 require Virtualbox and hardware virtualization being enabled.

Your computer reports hardware virtualization being disabled:

Check this:
- all BIOS features related to hardware virtualization must be enabled
- Windows "Core Isolation > Memory Integrity" must be disabled
- Hyper-V mostly conflicts and needs to be disabled (all components)

Even if your computer reports hardware virtualization being enabled you need to uncheck "Run native ..." at the prefs page.
