My computer has Hyper-V enabled and therefore BOINC can't detect that my hardware supports hardware virtualization. My daily usage depends on Hyper-V so I wish LHC@home could support running projects on it. As far as I know, Virtual Box has already added support for it. |

It is not an LHC@home issue. Instead, it is an issue between Hyper-V and VirtualBox. Some Windows versions seem to work fine with some VirtualBox versions. This may break if you update any of them. Hence, if you are sure the issue is now solved just try it out. It would then be nice if you would share your experience here. |

Thank you for your quick response! I tried a Elementary OS Linux image on VirtualBox 7.0 on Windows 11 22H2 and it runs pretty well. The status bar reported that the VM runs on Native API. According to the manual, running VirtualBox together with Hyper-V is an experimental feature. It warns that doing so may lead to poor performance but it's planned to be fixed in the future. |

You can run theory and ATLAS on hyperv I have installed cernvmfs on rocky linux 8 on vmware and i think hyper-v would work similarly. |
