Message 45943 - Posted: 24 Dec 2021, 11:17:11 UTC

Hi there,
since 2 days I have problems uploading results. They keep trying (with delays of up to 5 hours inbetween tries) uploading and each upload task stops at exactly 10,06 MB. I have plenty of upload speed, it is not nearly maxed out (upload just uses 550 KBps in max). Manual retry makes no difference. Other projects don't have problems uploading. Any suggestions?

Are you using the newest BOINC version 7.16.20 if you are on a WIndows machine?

yes, Win 10, newst BOINC version, fresh installation. I had LHC@home tasks transmitting normally and all of a sudden the uploads startet aborting. Now I have 8 ATLAS simulation 2.00-tasks ready to send with the same behaviour. All other projects upload normally.

You may allow other users to see your computer/task details.
Visit this page:

and enable this option:
Sollen deine Computer auf der LHC@home Webseite angezeigt werden?

I would check 2 points:
- whether network usage limits are set (local BOINC client, firewall, router, ...)
- whether an AV software cuts BOINC's network connections

Yes, that did the trick! I already had permitted network transfer from BOINC through my firewall. And I've had problems with the BOINC manager to connect to the internet until I excluded the whole BOINC folder in Acronis Cyper Protect Home. That worked fine unil a few days ago. Now I tried switch the security feature of Acronis off completely and voila - the transfers all succeeded. I don't have the slightest idea why the exclusion of the whole BOINC folder was not sufficient (just for LHC@home, all the other projects didn't have the transfer problems).
Thank's for the help!
