It has been weeks since I last get any LHC@home tasks. From website server status, it looks like there are thousands of tasks ready to be sent, but every time I hit update in BOINC, I don't receive any. The following is logs from BOINC.

Virtualization Virtualbox (6.1.12) installed, CPU does not have hardware virtualization support

I believe that the problem is lingering over there.
CMS, Theory and ATLAS Simulation tasks need virtualization to be enabled. But do you have some kind of Linux virtualization environment running ? if you wanted to run those tasks strictly in Windows (tasks for a Windows host) then I believe it would require you to enable CPU virtualization (VT-x) in BIOS/UEFI settings. Looks like it is not enabled at the moment. Maybe you'll also need to disable every other virtualization environment from existing at the same time.

Thank you for the reply. It's odd that it's showing "CPU does not have hardware virtualization support". I checked in Intel webpage that my i7-7700K has support for VT-X. I checked in BIOS and it's also enabled. I tried LeoMoon CPU-V from Yeti's checklist and indeed it shows me VT-X is not enabled. I am very confused on why. I checked from windows feature list that Hyper-V is not enabled. I also tried disabling WSL and now I am able to receive ATLAS tasks, but they all get computer error within about 10 seconds from starting. BOINC logs show "Vbox app stderr indicates CPU VM extensions disabled". I am very confused why it's not working.

2021-09-19 09:02:33 (10148): Hardware acceleration CPU extensions not detected. Disabling VirtualBox hardware acceleration support.
2021-09-19 09:02:33 (10148): ERROR: Invalid configuration. VM type requires acceleration but the current configuration cannot support it.

This is always a problem with VT-X be unabled.
You can check BIOS a second time. Maybe the save for your BIOS change was not successful.
Is Your CPU a special Intel one with problems for Virtualisation?
Edit: Windows 10 Enterprise make also problems with Virtualisation!
Hyper-V must be disabled as feature.

Hyper-V is disabled in "Turn Windows feature on or off". However in System Information I see "virtualization based security" is "running". I wonder if that means Hyper-V is not completely disabled?

Prozessor besitzt keine hardwareseitige Unterstützung für Virtualisierung.
This is shown from your Computer.
This processor have no Hardwareacceleration for using.
It must be a problem with this processor from Intel.
You can use sixtrack, when avalaible. It's the only project without using VT-x.
Edit: Is it possible, that Windows Education doesn't support Virtualisation?

Message 45357 - Posted: 20 Sep 2021, 7:10:31 UTC - in response to Message 45355.

BOINC reports an Intel i7-7700K:
https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=10485575
According to Intel's website this CPU has Virtualization Technology:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/97129/intel-core-i77700k-processor-8m-cache-up-to-4-50-ghz/specifications.html

First check should be the BIOS.
Some BIOS vendors enable all VT components with a single switch, others may split them and offer different switches (VT-x, VT-d, ...).
In this case all options must be enabled.

LHC VMs require VirtualBox running with hardware virtualization.
This requires Windows and all software components being 64-bit versions.

Client_state.xml must not contain this line: <p_vm_extensions_disabled>1</p_vm_extensions_disabled>
See:
https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/forum_thread.php?id=4161

All other hypervisors (Hyper-V, ...) and WSL should (in the past: must) completely be switched off since they fight against each other to get control over the hardware devices.

The computer should be rebooted before the next tests.

Thanks for your messages, it helped me troubleshoot the same issue

Actually one more step was needed in my case beside disabling Hyper-V and WSL
"Virtual Machine Platform" also needs to be disabled for my Ryzen 7 to accept new tasks
which can be done in the same "Turn Windows Features on or off" menu
you need to restart to apply

I'm having this trouble getting no tasks and host details display "CPU does not have hardware virtualization support"
https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=10818219

I've exhaustively tried to solve this by searching the message boards and following many threads of recommendations. I can't determine what has changed or what to do next.

Intel VMX is enabled in BIOS, BIOS is up to date
Preferences are set correctly to accept all tasks and Run Native =off
I've tried updating VBox 6.1 and now upgraded to 7.0 with extension pack
I've checked Windows settings, tried enabling Hypervisor Platform, WSL2, Virtual Machine Platform and now have them all disabled.
I've deleted the host PC details and updated to refresh ID

Update! LeoMoon CPU-V was also showing issue with virtualiztion disabled. I found the issue is with Windows 11 setting. Windows Security/Device Security/Memory integrity =turned on virtualization not detected, needs to be turned off
