Until recently I was getting lots of Sixtrack tasks, and before that I was getting lots of Theory tasks. Now all I get is:

Yet the server reports it has lots of tasks are available. However, for a host that is getting no new tasks, it isn't dropping many places in the credit ranking. Any suggestions?

SixTrack has no new tasks since 2021-04-27, just occasionally a few resends.
Mcplots shows your last Theory task was 2021-01-20.

Theory has enough tasks ready to send.

In case of SixTrack other computers also don't drop.
Total credits always keep stable.
Average credits exponentially degrade with a half-value time of 7 days.
The project DB updates major averages once a day or when a new result arrives.
Minor averages, e.g. per subproject stats, are updated up to twice a day.

By "it isn't dropping many places in the credit ranking" (emphasis added) I mean the credit total compared with others, and across all LHC tasks, not just SixTrack. In the past week, only three people on the entire planet have overtaken someone who is getting no work at all. To me that suggests not many people are successfully running LHC tasks.

I can't see any reason why my settings should suddenly start causing Boinc to report that no tasks are available, or are stopping Boinc from running LHC tasks..

It is known problem here that sometimes computers get stuck to the 'No tasks available' answer from servers. This can happen even if you have all applications selected and even if you allow the non-preferred applications if preferred applications don't have tasks. I've had it a few times when one of my two hosts gets it but the other one doesn't have any problems getting tasks. There is no known confirmed solution to it, the situation just goes away someday without a clear cause and effect. You may try to change your preferences by selecting different applications back and forth. Increasing your cache size seems sometimes help.

Meh. OK, thanks, at least I know now. I'll keep prodding, and see if I can bring it back to life.

I keep a 0.5 day work buffer this is enough to avoid draining the queue in my experience.

I am getting only ATLAS tasks on my Windows 10 PC, using VirtualBox. That is OK, since all CMS tasks would fail, for no known reason.

Same here, my internet connection was funky this morning so I lost all my queue CMS tasks.

Some sixtrack tasks are in the hopper, so get them while you can.

My client has finally stopped telling me no tasks are available (as it has been since May) and is now crunching on SixTrack.

Your computer reports "CPU does not have hardware virtualization support".
This points out either a wrong BIOS setting, a problem with the VirtualBox installation or that there's another hypervisor (e.g. HyperV) fighting against VirtualBox to get control over the hardware.

As long as this is not solved your computer will not be able to get any Vbox tasks from this project.
SixTrack runs because it doesn't need VirtualBox.
