Hi The last few work items over the last couple of weeks have just sat there waiting for network access. Is there an issue or what needs to change ? Kim |

Looking at the Stderr logs of your failed Theory tasks show this lines: Processor supports HW virtualization: no VBoxManage.exe: error: VT-x is disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes Please check if VT-x is enabled in BIOS on that machine. Many thanks. Not sure how it was disabled, but now enabled. Thanks again. Kim |

... Not sure how it was disabled ... Looks like you did a couple of updates between Dec 21 and Dec 23. This might have caused some weird settings. BTW: The BOINC benchmarks should be run to get recent values. https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=10675935 |

Hi again Ok it ran after the VT-X fix and reboot. It ran for 4 hrs one of them, the others started later I guess. Then to make sure all was OK I reinstalled Bionic and Virtual Host. A day later I note it is saying again "waiting for Network access" What have I done wrong? Kim |

There are 5 successful Theory tasks shown from yesterday. This is fine. You have two identical Computer shown. When you go to your Computer-list, there is a button on the page to proof identical Computer with two different ID's. When you click this button "Computer with same name merge" than one Computer will be retired. |

Bionic and Virtual Host Guess you mean "BOINC" and "VirtualBox"? It ran for 4 hrs ... Then ... I reinstalled ... Why? You wrote everything ran OK. ... I note it is saying again "waiting for Network access". Theory/ATLAS/CMS require permanent internet access. You may check if your BOINC client has set any network usage limits. If yes, disable the limits: Menu "Options" -> Computing Preferences -> Network |

Hi I changed the network activity from "network activity based on preferences" to "network activity always" and now runs. I don't understand why I have to do this when the preferences area has no checked boxs to limit it in any way. Thanks for your assistance anyway. Kim |
