Regarding "Run native if available?":
This must be left unchecked if you run Windows.

The project server sends out tasks in the order of their appearence in the ready-to-send-queue but skips task that do not meet all requirements, e.g. unchecked at the prefs page or computer's capabilities.
Theory and CMS should work with the settings mentioned earlier.


ATLAS is more tricky since it is a multicore app.
Most volunteers set their prefs to "unlimited #CPUs" which makes the server estimate a RAM requirement of up to 10200 MB (vbox tasks, 8 CPUs).
One of your computers has only 8 GB and will not get any ATLAS task until you limit the prefs to 4 CPUs.



5 CPUs would be possible according to the RAM formula but would leave only 500 MB RAM for the OS and all other processes.

RAM formula:
3000 MB + n_cpus * 900 MB

"Max # jobs" is a server side limit regarding the #tasks you are allowed to download.

If you want to limit the number of concurrently running tasks take a look into the app_config.xml manual.
