Well here anyway.....I did several at -dev and then many more at the Atlas-Test site when we ran the alpha version to be sent over to -dev and then here. Same here. @Rod 1.5 GB shouldn't be a problem for professional datacenters like those at CERN, LRZ, AGLT2, praguelcg2, MPI fÃ¼r Physik, TRIUMF-LCG2. 1.5 GB also appear to be a minor problem for private volunteers having a very fast internet connection and powerful equipment. 1.5 GB is still too large for many other volunteers who do not have equipment at the upper end of the scale. Hence, we had an agreement with David Cameron to keep the input file as small as possible. 400-500 MB was an accepted size. I'm sure he wrote that down somewhere together with the steps that are necessary to do so. In general this also applies to the upload size (HITS file) since upload bandwidth is usually much less than download bandwidth. ID: 48794 · Reply Quote
