Hello,
I would be posting to Windows specific problems forum, but since all of my CMS tasks have failed with a computation error, I don't have enough credits to post there. I'm not very familiar with VBox projects and LHC is my first attempt at one. Looking at the Stderr output for some of the failed tasks, I haven't found anything apparently in common as to what the errors might be. I looked at the CMS application specific forum but not seen anything that seemed to help. Getting more experience with VBox specific tasks & that should hopefully change. If anyone can look at my failed tasks and offer any solutions, I'd be grateful. I have a Theory task still being worked on, with about 3 days left, so hopefully that one doesn't fail!

Welcome to the project and to the forum.
The scientist who's running the CMS subproject is not at a good shape atm.
All CMS-tasks are failing and no sixtracks are available. Sixtrack don't need VBox.
If you want to try tasks needing VBox support on your Windows machine, select only Theory in your preferences.

Edit: I see you have 1 Theory running ;)

Thank you for your help! I wasn't sure if it was a configuration issue since I'm new to VBox, so glad it isn't that.
I hope the scientist for the project feels better soon and hoping that everyone stays healthy, in fact!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, though I think I did have a native Theory task error on my Linux box. I think
it happened last night and I just got off work and not looked at it's results.

I do hope to have many successful tasks completed in the future!

Although it's not the main reason why your vbox tasks failed your logfiles shows an issue that should be changed:

Vbox tasks should run at 100%.
You may change this in your BOINC client preferences.

This is from your linux machine running Theory native.
To run Theory/ATLAS native a local CVMFS client must be installed and configured.
See the related threads.

If you plan to run vbox tasks on this machine you'll have to uncheck the "run native if available?" option in your web preferences:

ich bin langsam am verzweifeln. Ich bekomme laufend Berechnungsfehler.

Ich habe das einmal angehängt. VBox ist installiert, ich habe das sogar gestartet und immer kommt diese Meldung.

Entschuldigt bitte falls ich hier gegen Regeln verstoße, ich weiß mir sonst nicht zu helfen.

Kein Grund zum verzweifeln ;)

Ich vermute das Du Hyper-V laufen hast auf Deinem Windows 10 Pro system (vielleicht ohne das Du das weißt).

Versuche das mal auszuschalten und zuerst nur Theory auswählen in Preferenzen.

Du könntest auch die neueste Version von VirtualBox ausprobieren. Irgendwo hab ich mal gelesen dass das Problem mit Hyper-V behoben sein sollte.

I heard here to write in English, I do this with "BING" So apologize if not everything sounds perfect.
I did not have a Hyper-V installed and I am not active. I use VBox 6.1.22 and run as VM Ubuntu 2104 occasionally. I deal hobbyically with Linux, but can also delete the VM. Otherwise I have not done any further in VBox. do I have to set anything there?

Hyper-V is part of Windows 10 Pro.
To be sure check whether the feature Hyper-V in Windows features is turned on or off (versteckte Funktion Windows 10)

Another possibility of the failing could be, that your BOINC at first decided that VBOX was not installed and make a setting in client_state.xml
If in client_state.xml there is
<p_vm_extensions_disabled>1</p_vm_extensions_disabled>
You have to change the 1 into 0
Do this with the BOINC client not running.

Hyper-V is not active. In Windows features, the Hyper-V field is empty. In client_state.xml is the following entry:
p_vm_extensions_disabled>0</p_vm_extensions_disabled>
The entry therefore fits

It's useful to stop downloading hundreds of Tasks with no success.
When you deinstalling Virtualbox and Boinc,
on the Boinc-Homepage https://boinc.berkeley.edu/ is the Version Boinc 7.16.11 including Virtualbox 6.1.12.
Don't forget to install the Extension-Pack and reboot your System.
Useful is also a app_config, when you use Atlas.
Better is to begin with Theory only in the LHCatHome Prefs.
In the LHC-Prefs use not all Cores. Begin with 4 Cores and one task and see what happens.

Do you really deinstalling Virtualbox?
Your PC show Vers. 6.1.22. The same as before?
When you install from boinc-side, both are downloaded in one package and installed (Boinc 7.16.11 and Virtualbox 6.1.12)!
You must click on the left side on the Boinc-side for downloading this Version.

In the meantime I have updated to 6.1.22 but now uninstalled as desired, reinstalled and booted.
No change.
Slowly I come to the conclusion that I cannot provide computing power for LHC.

In the Slot-No. is a stderr.txt shown, when a task is running for this short time.
Maybe, you see some info.

yes, the extension is installed. I don't know what the error "VM: -2147024891" means. Have already googled, unfortunately without success
in the stderr.txt I find nothing, there are only data from the Project WCG
