Today I have noticed that Boinc reports the memory working set size as a lot smaller than yesterday (4 core task 6600 MB -> 4800 MB for tasks downloaded this morning) and now 3900 MB for 5 core tasks downloaded in the evening. What's up with that? TOP also shows a lot smaller numbers on Alt+F3 terminal. Credits have also dropped for finished tasks. Tasks are finishing OK with HITS file though. |

The reduce of Cobblestones for Atlas is after midnight from 28 to 29/2. This day is only all 4 Years? |

You may compare 2 tasks on the same computer: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=265333801 https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=265314094 The task details show that they are calculated using different "max FLOPS" values. This makes me guess that you changed your web prefs for the venue this computer is attached to. In addition I can't find a 5-core task in your list. All I can find are 1-core tasks. |

You may compare 2 tasks on the same computer: I run all tasks as single core tasks with memory setting of 3900 MB with app_config.xml. But this hasn't before affected the memory setting seen by Boinc. Before Boinc was always showing 6600 MB memory usage for 4 core tasks (setting on web site). I tested if setting web preferences to 5 core would increase what Boinc shows as memory usage but that was not the case. The CPU time that Atlas tasks have been taking during last few days hasn't changed so I wonder if project has changed something on their setting. |

Yes, I know that. The reason for this thread is that they are all showing now 3900 MB in Boinc and not 7500 as one would expect. |

I've just received a few new tasks where Boinc is showing 7500 MB memory usage (5 core setup on web preferences). |
