Building a nice new computer to help with LHC. What do I need to do to be assured it will be logged in my current 'account' totals? I have 3 already but I can't tell if they are all merged or what. This new computer should outshine them all.

separate question:
Would be nice if I could also use some old IRIX SGI machines to help LHC but since y'all don't allow source code out, then I don't see how they can be of any help. Are y'all really THAT paranoid?

A new computer will get a fresh computer ID in the project DB.
This computer ID will automatically show up under your user ID.

It's a question of maintenance effort.
The project currently supports the x86/x64 architecture.
If your SGI machines are MIPS based they are not supported.
If they are x64 based you may try to run linux on them which is supported by LHC@home.
