I’ve set my Project Preferences so that ATLAS Simulation shouldn’t run. This fails to take effect even after issuing an Update. For some reason, those Apps keep crashing so I prefer to run whatever else LHC has to run. Any hints on what else to do?

If you have checked "If no work for selected...accept work..." (see MAGIC's screenshot) you will get ATLAS work although other applications have work.

The reason is that the project currently runs at least 4 servers for load balancing reasons - randomly selected by DNS/IP rotation - and at least 1 of these servers is configured to only deliver ATLAS.
Hence if the checkbox mentioned above is selected and your client contacts the ATLAS-only-server it will follow your settings and send an ATLAS task.

To solve the issue the checkbox must be deselected - at the expense that you may sometimes see a message that the project has no tasks available. It's caused by the same reason.

Thanks! Seems to have worked. Trick question I guess, and I missed it.
