Anyone out there who doesn't believe credits and credit ranking is complete nonsens? Well, take a look at Theory's average statistic pages. https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/per_app_list.php?appid=13&is_team=&is_total=0 sixtrack sixtracktest CMS Theory ATLAS TheoryN Rank Name Average Total Average Total Average Total Average Total Average Total Average Total 1 deleted 288.78 318,772 0.00 0 3,158.95 128,065 2,736,348.42 105,112,401 11,633.25 565,007 2,233.08 112,771 2 deleted 1,498.27 308,491 0.00 0 1,271.87 27,512 2,725,746.72 116,653,191 44,537.36 10,523,380 6,787.11 705,270 And who is user "deleted" winning Gold and Silver? Their hosts exist. http://mcplots-dev.cern.ch/production.php?view=user&system=3&userid=584991 http://mcplots-dev.cern.ch/production.php?view=user&system=3&userid=583486 You can delete your account if you want. So, why should stats be non-sense? The rest is privacy... Edit: do you mean avg credit is too high? If yes, maybe is it an effect of user deletion? Anyway https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:NxSjxiHhciwJ:https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_user.php%3Fuserid%3D583486+&cd=1&hl=it&ct=clnk&gl=it |

Their hosts exist. That's not the point. You can delete your account if you want. That's also not the point. do you mean avg credit is too high? ... No. I don't care if other users get high credits. At least as long as they don't cheat (which is not the case here). ... If yes, maybe is it an effect of user deletion? No. Deletion doesn't modify credits. This is the point Deleted accounts must be ignored at the statistics pages. If they appear the statistics degrade to - nonsense. |

Deleted accounts must be ignored at the statistics pages.I don't think so. The total credits seems to be OK and their contribution donated to the project is to be honored anonymously. The problem is that the average credit per application is not reduced over time. It should decrease fast in the beginning (when no new credits granted) and slower afterwards, but will never be zero. |

This is the point The credits are nonsense the second they are awarded. What does it matter If they degrade and become even more nonsensical later? The only purpose they serve is to give bored people something to discuss. The more ridiculous credits become the more there is to discuss. |
