Hi H, The Android app is still listed as being in Beta testing so you would need to set "Run test applications" in your preferences and even then, there aren't likely to be many, if any available. sixtracktest - unsent - 0 |

Android is also beta for the sixtrack app - nevertheless, it works only if your android version is <8 If you ask for work, what does the log say? |

when i update LHC@home, i get several log messages saying "no tasks are available for <project>" and when i did get some tasks for LHC, they did NOT say sixtracktest, they said sixtrack. so that doesn't sound like a test app to me. I BOINC, therefore I am. |

Why do you want to run TEST instead of regular Sixtracks on those cell phones? (or are they tablets? ) |

sorry for the late reply. @H. Miersch and @arizonadeux : thanks for posting the issue. The problem is not that we do not send out tasks for android - at job submission we do not target specific app plan classes. There must be something preventing the feeder to accept the requests from your hosts - I will contact IT for that, maybe the log files can tell us something more. In the meanwhile, could you please check that you flagged the android app as test? @nicodemusw : your android host actually crunched tasks: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome_ops/db_action.php?table=result&hostid=10609518&sort_by=sent_time&detail=low&nresults=40 The point is that, being the version of your android >8, the process is killed immediately by the OS. James is looking into this on our side (though not full time), together with the BOINC devel team - it is not a problem of SixTrack per se. The fact of having an app flagged as test for the production SixTrack is just to make volunteers aware that something can go wrong with that app. Since it is the case for the android app as the app runs only on OS versions <8 (again the OS kills the process), we let people with an appropriate OS version to contribute, and let know the others that the app may fail. |

Hello Alessio, Your links with the db_actions are not accesable for us as 'normal' users, even not with a CERN Single Sign-On using an external public service like Google. |

Okay, I have one Android-6-Handy that asks for work since weeks, but never got any task: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=10603561 The Flag allowing Test-Applications is set, also sixtracktest is checked, nothing has done the trick so far. Does anyone have any idea what to try ? ![]() Supporting BOINC, a great concept ! |

Hi Yeti, sorry for the inconvenience. You are right, your host should have received tasks. I am checking with the IT guys how your host is treated by the BOINC server looking at the cgi/feeder logs. We will come back to you once we have news. Thanks, Cheers, A. |

Hi Yeti, I cannot see any trace of errors from this Android host in our scheduler logs. What happens if you do "Update" on the BOINC client on this device? AFAIK there are other Android users running SixTrack ok. |

Okay, I have one Android-6-Handy that asks for work since weeks, but never got any task: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=10603561 The arm/android executable is aarch64, your host is armv7, which is 32bit arm, thus you will not get sent anything. |
