Years ago I participated in atlasathome, so I used the same email address and changed my password at LHC@Home, but BOINC won't accept that combination either as a new user or an existing user. I downloaded BOINC along with VirtualBox. VirtualBox installed first, then it went right into installing BOINC. I set up VirtualBox but it won't accept the password I provided during setup, either. Both VirtualBox and BOINC, inside VirtualBox, are running. I don't know what to do. |

Years ago ... You may have used an old project URL. The recent URL is: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/ |

.... I don't know what to do.Your computer's last contact was 1 Apr 2012, 19:17:40 UTC. You don't have to setup anything in VirtualBox yourself. It's done by BOINC. Have a look into your project preferences and select at least the Theory application to start with. |

Years ago ... This is the link I received from LHC@home administrator: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/login_action.php?id=226669&t=1547839663&h=5c38db34e1b44e82 |

.... I don't know what to do.Your computer's last contact was 1 Apr 2012, 19:17:40 UTC. I guess you're right. When I power on just BOINC in the VM the information in the right pane is in some ways different than that I set up using an Ubuntu Linix .iso. Have a look into your project preferences and select at least the Theory application to start with. I just did that, but I still have to solve the original problem. |

Problem solved! I was using a masked email address. Apparently it worked in 2010, but not anymore. I entered my real email address, and it worked. Thanks everybody! |
