Got my first v263.90. It downloaded and started without obvious issues and is currently running an agile-runmc subtask. |

One interesting aspect of the new version: it yields less than half credit points compared to 263.80 :-( Why so? |

One interesting aspect of the new version: it yields less than half credit points compared to 263.80 :-( Within BOINC the credit for new applications have to settle before the credit becomes more stable. |

One interesting aspect of the new version: it yields less than half credit points compared to 263.80 :-( what I noticed a minute ago: on my Win7 32-bit machine which still crunches with version 263.50, the credits have also dropped, even markedly more than on the 64-bit machines with change from 263.80 to 263.90. Now, the credit on the 32-bit system is about 20% of what is was before. So, obviously the (considerable) drop of credit has not only to do with the change of application. |

We have run out of tasks from Boinc server and also jobs as well. |

The tasks we do have and tried to start the last several hours are all "no sub tasks" Invalids |

there seems to be the same problem that we experienced with the LHCb tasks which were stopped recently: CPU time is only a small fraction of the total runtime. Currently, I have the following two tasks running, with total time 17:31 hrs and 15 hrs resp.; CPU time 4 hrs. and 3 hrs. resp. So, something seems to be wrong with the new version 263.90. And yes, as mentioned above, no new tasks in the queue, and once more the "no subtasks" problem last evening. For some time now, only ATLAS seems to work without problems (also Sixtrack seems okay if there are tasks available, which is the case only rarely though). |

There was a server problem so Laurence just did a reboot. Even on Sundays... |

Well thanks Laurence, I just happened to start up one task 30 minutes ago just to see if they would start working since it is 1am here. Watching the Log and so far it looks like it is working so maybe I will plug all the ethernets back in and start them all back up again. (got new tasks here and over at -dev ) |

Thanks. That helped to get a subtask running on a fresh VM. |

The 2nd fresh VM got an "EXIT_NO_SUB_TASKS" error: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=211069131 |

There was a server problem so Laurence just did a reboot. Even on Sundays...I was not aware of the problem, while I requested 4 new tasks this morning at 09.27 CET after the server reboot. Thanks Laurence and Ben being so watchful. Have a nice 1st Advent. |

Theory still sucks quite a lot. From quite a number of tasks that my various machines downloaded last night, only one succeeded, all other failed with the "no subtasks" error. Obviously, something is not working the way it's supposed to. This subproject should be stopped until the people at LHC@home will finally spot the problem and repair it. |

The server fell over again last night. A more permanent fix has been put into place. |

A more permanent fix has been put into place. Mo 03 Dez 2018 11:14:35 CET | LHC@home | No tasks are available for Theory Simulation <irony> A rather strict fix, isn't it? ;-) SCNR </irony> |

A more permanent fix has been put into place. The server is up. The job queue is low. The buffer size has been increased. |

However, even several hours after you wrote your posting, I got the "no subtasks" error many times. For example: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=211155633 |
