Hi,

I switched my poorest client from Atlas to Theory and "forgot" it. I didn't check the client for some days.

Now I got a hint from Maex, that the client produces a high rate of aborts.

I checked it and found some curious facts!

  1. The client has never run any real theory-task, but got more than 50 results as valid
  2. For these valid results, the client gets abnormal high credits
  3. The client produces a lot of aborted results, but the server is still handing out WUs as much as the client asks for.

Please, make shure, that a WU, that never has done any real Theory-Task, never gets credits for this. Only this will force the owner to check, what is with this client.

You punish all users that are doing real work for CERN as useless clients geht higher credits than clients that do valuable work.

And, with this handling, you make it even worse for Atlas. People only get errors there but tell, their client must be okay , it has crunched several Theory-Tasks without any error and it is pane to explain these people, that they never did any usefull work

What has happened with the link where I can check the Theory-Runs of my clients ? In the past this was in the User or Clients-section, but now it is gone ?

As I have fixed the client, now it run's only 1-Core and this works, now it got 12.000 Credits for 13 hours runtime (1-Core).

Is this normal ? My feeling says it is much too high, but i'm not used to Theory and credits. Perhaps can someone give me a hint

Saw this with a new Computer with Atlas.
After a few days it downgraded to normal cobblestones.
MCProduction show a normal stats for today:
