Message 36247 - Posted: 3 Aug 2018, 15:54:36 UTC - in response to Message 36241.

Your host got some ATLAS tasks, so VirtualBox is most likely installed.

Quick check:
The tasks have been sent with standard settings (8 cores, 9800 MB RAM).
You may check if your local BOINC client is configured to allow more than 9.8 GB (roughly 41 %) of your physical RAM.
Be aware that the RAM requirements have lately been increased and you would now need at least 10.2 GB (43 %).

If this doesn't help you may go through Yeti's checklist:

Your tasks list at https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/results.php?hostid=10503643 shows you received 8 tasks and they all timed out. It appears your host didn't try to crunch the tasks. Was your host powered off during that time? Do you have this project suspended?

Do you have any consideration for people who borrow their computers ? I remind you that my computer power consumption is about 100W when used and I let it run about 10 hours every night.

If you let running only 10 hours, and Atlas Task need longer (12 or 13 hours),
they always running from the beginning next time. So, they can not finishing.
There are tasks for 4 hours, but you don't know which task you get.

You can delete this tasks in Virtualbox, because the Server have finished your tasks because of time-limit over.

In your preferences for Lhc you can run sixtrack, there is work for the moment.
If you want later let Atlas running again
Go through Yeti's checklist before:

Edit: For Atlas the default RAM was changed. See this message!

For sixtrack you need only LHC-Preferences -> sixtrack yes -> all other Applications no -> no new tasks from other applications no
save your preferences and update the project in Boincmanager.
Sixtrack need nothing more to download tasks.
Otherwhise you have a problem with your PC.
Have you eliminated the time for running in the night only?

"Have you eliminated the time for running in the night only?"

Nope because it was perfectly working earlier ? Was is the best setting for the computer to run LHC without disturbing your own work?

Boinc is using only the CPU-Time which is free and avalaible. Not more.
Edit:
Sorry, but this is a ATLAS-Forum and you need to learn some infos by yourself reading the other message folder or the Boinc-website.

I have restarded the LHC project Sixtrack tasks have been excuted but I have also 8 ATLAS tasks pending and nothing happens I think it's a virtual machine problem.

Set LHC@home project to "no new tasks" and wait until all of the Sixtrack tasks are finished. Then if the ATLAS tasks don't start restart the BOINC client copy your Event log to clipboard and paste it here.
