Which project applications dont require virtualbox?

i heard that sixtrack doesnt, what about the rest? i know i should post this in the preferences forum but i dont have any credits yet. cheers |

You may have a look at the app list. There you find all non beta apps. Apps marked with (vbox...) need VirtualBox. ATLAS native is not mentioned in the list as it is beta. Does ATLAS native need virtualization option enabled in the BIOS? I never ran vbox apps because my BIOS don't have it. Does the native app require it too? I searched in the native app guides but didn't find any mention. |

Since this computer has less than 4 GB RAM I would not recommend to run ATLAS on it: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=10664901 Theory native shouldn't be a problem but then it is suggested to leave the computer on 24/7. |
