Dear fans, For some reason only my CPU is shown in my computer statistics. Is there a way to add my GPU as well ? I see alot of people have their GPU shown as well , mine is empty. ( type of GPU ) Any support is very welcome , Thanks, Masky ( Netherlands ) |

Hi Masky, welcome. Is the GPU shown in the Boinc-Messages? LHC have no GPU-Work to use. |

You may have to update your video cards drivers and then reboot and then come here and ask for tasks so the server see's your computer and then it should be listed on your account. Volunteer Mad Scientist For Life |

So did you do all those things I mentioned again and it still is not there? I remember this happened to me many years ago here. Are you running your GPU on one of the projects that use GPU's? Such as Einstein?........and does your GPU show up on that site in your account? (you can check mine and see all of my cards are shown) If you do not use your GPU card for any projects you could even be just using the video from your processor. You might already know all this but I just thought I would go through all the things. You can look at your video card Control Panel in your tray to see what it is doing (all of mine are GeForce so I can only go by what they show us) Of course when it comes down to it we don't have GPU tasks here anyway so it would be best checked on a GPU project you are already running tasks on. It looks like you have the current version of Boinc but your VB version is getting old since you probably know how they tend to update it and I have been updating the newest one lately just to test it and it works here. https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads So I guess if you tried all the first list of things let us know if you are running your GPU card on another project like Einstein so we can see that in your account (that is the only GPU project I run and only project other than all the CERN testing we do) Good luck Masky Volunteer Mad Scientist For Life |

(only other thing I can think of is how is Boinc installed? Do you see a line in the event log about running as a daemon? If so then you need to reinstall Boinc and choose not to install as a Service} |

Take a look at the apps page: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/apps.php No GPU app is listed there. The CERN developers are working on it but it's not highest priority and nobody knows if/when it will make it on the list. Meanwhile other projects might be happy if you run their tasks on your new GPU. |
