Hello, I'm trying to download some sixtrack wu but I get the same "download failed" error from three different hosts, both for the avx ad sse2 linux applications and even after resetting the project. Digging some more I discovered that both the download URLs http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/download/sixtrack_lin64_4630_avx.linux and http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/download/sixtrack_lin32_4630_sse2.linux return a redirect page instead of the applications they should deliver: !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <title>LHC@home - test server</title> <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=http://cern.ch/lhcathome/" /> </head> <body bgcolor="#ffffff"> <h1>Welcome to LHC@home</h1> <P>You should be redirected automatically from this page, if not, please click <A HREF=http://cern.ch/lhcathome>here.</a> </body> </html> I don't know if this is a consequence of today's update but from what I read everything should be up and running now. Yes and Windows versions of Sixtrack application (sixtrack_win64_4630_avx.exe and sixtrack_win64_4630_sse2.exe) will also not download on my Skylake box. |

Thanks for pointing this out. Should be fixed now. Our normal file server URL is lhcathome-upload.cern.ch and my BOINC client uses that and had no issues. It could be that the old Sixtrack URL is in a job template or is used by some clients. |

... Should be fixed now ... Sorry, Nils. It's not yet solved. The URL http://lhcathome-upload.cern.ch/sixtrack/download/sixtrack_lin64_4630_avx.linux also delivers the redirection page. |

Hmm, the URL should either be: http://lhcathome-upload.cern.ch/lhcathome/download/sixtrack_lin64_4630_avx.linux or http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/download/sixtrack_lin64_4630_avx.linux both works in a fresh browser or client session. |

OK, it was my fault. I just replaced the server name in the URL as my clients used the older lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch. With the complete URLs from your last post it works. |

..... It could be that the old Sixtrack URL is in a job template or is used by some clients. Hosts here are all attached via the new URL LHC@home 29/03/2018 9:30:59 pm URL https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/; Computer ID 10386609; resource share 100 and are using it to get work, but using the old URL 1522291255.026 1367 192.168.xxx.xxx TCP_MEM_HIT/200 7166095 GET http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/download/sixtrack_lin64_4630_sse2.linux - NONE/- - to download executables. Is this right? Should I need to change this at my end or should it come with the task.? |

... Should I need to change this at my end or should it come with the task.? It's configured server side. As long as your clients don't show any error you may leave it as it is. BTW: Nice to see that the file has been delivered by your proxy. :-) |

... Should I need to change this at my end or should it come with the task.? OK, thanks. BTW: But it still doesn't always work. |
