Most all the people that take the time to post on the forums have spent thousands of $$$ on equipment for BOINC. This thread is for fun, not rekindling fights from 5 years ago. I'm obsessive and compulsive but I reserve grudges of that depth for the robber that shot me in the 90's and the doctor who's malpractice cost my mother her life; not some dude that complained about stolen CPU cycles. I found another project using VirtualBox and I joined it, it's SourceFinder. Two tasks on my main Linux box equal two completed and validated tasks. The vboxwrapper seems to be the same, but the Virtual Machine is a Debian Linux.So I won't waste any more electricity on LHC@home. Tullio |
