Message 32206 - Posted: 4 Sep 2017, 9:00:46 UTC

My PC is using German-language and all webpages of BOINC show me only German Tokens.

When I want to hellp someone I often have to tell them the english-Tokens.

Is there an easy way to force the website to give me the english-Version of the page with a small parameter (e.g. &lang=eng) as I don't want to switch my whole workstation to english

Easy: Left side "Languages" and then "english" or "en" translates the whole homepage and is working flawlessly for me (or have i missed something obvious??)

I just notice that quite a lot of information shown on the Project Status Page https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/server_status.php is wrong:

on the right hand side, under "Computing Status", under "workunits waiting for validation" it shows "0". As we know, Sixtrack tasks often wait for days or even weeks for validation. Only from the tasks uploaded from my PCs within the past 2 days (Sixtrack and others) some 70 or 80 are in "waiting for validation" status. So, from all users, I am sure that many ten-thousands in total are in "waiting for validation" status.

Further: on the bottom: "Tasks by application", under "Users in the last 24 hours" it shows "0" for every application, although about 136.000 tasks are shown as "in progress".

I am questioning what sense it makes to publish this kind of website where so much of it's content is wrong.

Change email address button under the Change email link in your account page doesn't work (pointing to address https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome//edit_email_action.php> which looks like a double-typo).

Thanks for reporting, this should now be fixed on our server.

We do not customize the web links and forms, so this is a BOINC bug that now is fixed upstream.

Sorry to be a nuisance, but while previous error message is gone, now it complains about invalid password instead. (I double-checked that I'm using the correct one of course).

I'm trying to change e-mail address, not password. You have to give your password to change your e-mail :) Result when pressing "Change email address" button is "Invalid password."

My LHC@home preferences are not updating as they should. I've been having issues with ATLAS tasks and have deselected that project in my preferences but the tasks are still downloading to my computer.

Check your setting for "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" that it is set to "no". Also check that you are changing the settings for the correct venue for that particular host.

There are some graphics files listed on a new page about sixtrack jobs (https://sixtrack-boinc-status.web.cern.ch/sixtrack-boinc-status/). Will they be made to an actual working html-page?

Another new year and another jobs graph problem. At new year 2022 the sixtrack graphs stopped working (it was never fixed and is still not working after a year) and now at new year 2023 the Atlas graphs here on web site do not show the new tasks that started to flow on Saturday.

The link has been updated to point to the production MC plots server. (The dev server that was there before had some issues, ref. this post. )
