If you look at my signature you'll see what I mean.

http://www.funkymonkey.org/boinc/sig2.php?lhc=75&toprac=5

The image above should show 5 project lines to cut down on the size of the image (so it doesn't take over everyone's screens). It's ignoring the & and anything that follows so it doesn't see &toprac=5.

That means the signature will show 53 projects (currently) and will get larger as more projects come out.

51496 is corrupted. The client is running 4.72 on WinXP. Not sure when the last connected time is - PC is at home and I'm at work at the moment. It connects usually every day or every other day. I'll update this post (if I can) once I get home.

I think they're looking into the 0 credit problems. I read somewhere that they found the problem being related to the API calls they were calling within the application.

As far as being taken for granted, isn't that a given for anything you volunteer for? You're offering what you've got for free, they're going to take it. :)

4.24 does contain a few fixes. Two fixes that I read have been fixed are the corrupted text in the message window, and the other fix is for the access groups on NT based systems. Seems to run fine at home, but I am reading quite a few reported bugs with it.

It's possible that if a work units were all assigned so there were no available work to crunch and errors were reported with those work units, new work units would be sent out using the same application.

But from Markku's post above, that isn't what happened here. :)

The old application will continue to try and download as long as there's work units created to be crunched with that application. Once the queue sends all of the older work units out, the new ones will start.

The "Message Board Post Count" value in the user preferences is wrong. It is currently only counting the posts that I've made since the new server when live. Clicking on the link to view those posts however, does show all of the posts I've made on this new server and from the old server.

Changing your e-mail address will only change the external CPID in the XML stats, not the internal CPID.

The external CPID isn't updating now because the project is not running at the moment. I've attached to a few more projects and got a new CPID which has updated on all projects except this one.

It'll update once this project restarts.

Also, just as an FYI, some of the other projects such as Seti has updated the user preference pages to show the external CPID now instead of the internal ID. LHC still shows the internal until the server software for boinc here gets updated. If you see line "Used in exported accounting data" just below "Cross-project ID" then that's showing the external CPID.

I'm guessing it won't be going for a bit but I don't know.

I'm pretty sure the message boards will be updated to the current version used by the other projects which includes the WAP support when they get their new project and move everything over.

Post:
Guys, since the site came back up in the last 24 hours, the alpha site's databases (RSS Feeds, Forums, etc.) are pulling / sending to the live project's database.

This is going to cause a problem for the alpha project crunchers that are still attached and running when they try to return work units that end up in the live database tables.

That was caused by a bug with the Gentoo kernel if I remember correctly. There's enough linux boxes to crunch the data, the only problem with Predictor was the timing of the returned results.

I'd like to see the homogeneous redundancy enabled.
