Hello...

The transition is progressing. Hope to have some more concrete information on the front page soon.

The project has been through a number of admin's hands and so information has been spread thinly. Thinks have taken time as I have had to scrape the information together and when I find something out it solves 1 problem but reveals 2 more...

I know a number of you are feeling frustrated about this... if it is any comfort so am I!!!

Bye for now

Alex Owen

LHC@Home Server Admin

Thank you very much for posting an update. It is appreciated!!

It has been another two weeks and I'm sorry about the silence. Sadly we've had some hiccups with the systems we work on that are not BOINC (as I've explained we are not on BOINC full time, not even close) and that has meant this project was out on the backburner and I apologise for that. Also it's the start of conference season so between attending and organising things where you learn a lot but get nothing done it has slipped again.

I will get a fuller update to you when I can but at least some WUs went up recently.

It has been over a month with nothing but silence. Can we get an update as to the status and maybe a addition to the news on the home page?

I suspect people want more than just an update.

Nope, all I would like is an update. The rest of it is fully understood.

Well it´s a shame...
It started really nice and hopeful with the new admins and the new server.
But now... It looks like all is the same as it was last year...

I wonder WHY it's so difficult for an admin. to come here, in this forum, 5 minutes/day.
Probably, we are a lost world or forgotten ...

I fully agree. All we are asking for is a quick update once every two weeks. Either: A. The admins are not reading the forms or; B. They are reading but choosing not to respond. I don't know which is worse. :(

These are a real pain when you are trying to use the message boards. Is everyone else getting the same and is anything being done to correct it?

It's getting quiet here in the forum. Is there a lifesign from the admins at all that I've missed?

Regards,

Other than this last update from March 22nd. . .

An post once every week or so would be nice to at least show there is some interest in communicating what is going on with the project. (Even if it is nothing.)

As an example, SETI started doing a technical update every day or so to keep everyone in the loop as to current issues and progress on long term goals. That approach really reflects a true interest by their admins in keeping their crunchers up to speed. Here is a link to their technical update:
