at cern the big particle thingy (cant remember the name of it at the moment)


Um... note the name of this website.

It is my understanding that workunits here are simulation data used for the design and fine-tuning of the collider, not data from actual science operations, which are to be analyzed by a network of computers at universities and research institutions.

I've been running a 9% overclock on an Athlon64. As I said, this seemed to be fine with the other projects, but I guess LHC is more sensitive. I'll drop it back to 5% and see what happens. Thanks.

Maybe I don't understand how credit is granted. I read the FAQ http://lhcathome.cern.ch/FAQ.html#2.5. I can't decide if this is saying that my computer must be returning faulty results. I don't seem to have any problems with Einstein, CPDN, SETI, or Predictor.
