What a pity!

Given the lack of boinc applications (apart from SETI) available for Solaris and other OS BOINC will have a few problems to be generally adopted in some institutions.

Take into account that windows and linux clients tend to divide its cpu horsepower between several projects because they can. If LHC would be available in source code or at least through binary ports to other OS, LHC will be rejecting to get a lot of work done by those machines.

There are very good Fortran compilers available on Solaris, so if you could release the source code I think there would be some enough Solaris fans to make the port.

I would be willing to help them to test their Solaris port in a lot of different SPARC and x86 machines.
