Good morning, do as I can not install and adjust cmfvs. it’s too complicated and no one is able to make a simple tutorial within the reach of a linux neophite. people post instructions but nothing works so I installed oracle virtualbox to calculate on lhc@home and it works.

(Message 49667) Posted 28 Feb 2024 by Pascal Post: le probleme ne sont pas les ordinateurs. j'avais des erreurs de calcul theory simulation sur un pc avec windows 10 et un pc linux mint.J'ai donc arreté theory simulation. ce sont les unités de calcul theory simulation qui sont pourries. LHC@home devient comme gpugrid,on leur met de la puissance de calcul a disposition et il font n'importe quoi avec. Si ça continue je vais arreter ces 2 projets malgré le fait qu'ils font partie des plus intéressants. The problem is not computers. I had computational errors theory simulation on a pc with windows 10 and a pc linux mint. So I stopped theory simulation. It is the units of calculation theory simulation that are rotten. LHC@home becomes like gpugrid, we put computing power at their disposal and they do anything with it. If it continues I will stop these 2 projects despite the fact that they are among the most interesting.

J'ai donc arréter de calculer pour theory en le décochant dans mon compte. je suis sous linux mint 21.3 Lhc@home devient comme gpugrid,c'est a dire n'importe quoi!! good evening personally I work with virtualbox because I can not install cvmfs and the same, I have only errors on theory simulation. So I stopped calculating for theory by decoding it in my account. I am under linux mint 21.3 Lhc@home becomes like gpugrid, that is to say anything!

Quelqu un aurait il l'amabilité de poster les instructions qu'il faut mettre dans un terminal pour installer cela(cvmfs et singularity je suppose) Jai suivi des tutos mais rien ne fonctionne.Il y a toujours une erreur de syntaxe ou autre chose qui ne fonctionne pas. des tutos,il y en a partout mais ils sont tous obsolétes ou avec des erreurs meme minime qui font que rien ne marche. je voudrais juste la liste des programmes a installer en passant par la logitheque ou le gestionnaire de paquet synaptic. Ou bien les instructions,sans erreur de syntaxe,qu il faut copier dans un terminal pour y arriver. comme vous l'avez surement compris je débute sous linux. Merci d'avance. good evening, I appeal to the community because I calculate for lhc@home under linux mint 21.3 with virtualbox 6.150 but following an update ,nothing works anymore and all the calculations go wrong. I understood that you had to use native applications. Someone would be kind enough to post the instructions that must be put in a terminal to install this (cvmfs and singularity I guess) I followed tutorials but nothing works. There is always a syntax error or something else that does not work. tutorials,there are everywhere but they are all obsessed or with even minor errors that make nothing work. I would just like the list of programs to install through the logitheque or the synaptic package manager. Or the instructions, without syntax error, that must be copied into a terminal to get there. I used the world community grid tutorial to install boinc. Download for Debian We recommend installing the BOINC client directly from the Ubuntu/Debian repositories. In a terminal window, run the following command: sudo apt install boinc-client boinc-manager Set the BOINC client to automatically start after you restart your computer: sudo systemctl enable boinc-client Start the BOINC client: sudo systemctl start boinc-client Allow group access to client access file: sudo chmod g+r /var/lib/boinc-client/gui_rpc_auth.cfg Add your Linux user to the BOINC group to allow the BOINC Manager to communicate with the BOINC client: sudo usermod -a -G boinc $USER Allow your terminal to pick up the privileges of the new group: exec su $USER In the same terminal window, start the BOINC Manager: boincmgr -d /var/lib/boinc-client When BOINC Manager opens, select World Community Grid from the list of BOINC projects then enter your World Community Grid username and password. J ai suivi des tutos pour installer cvfms mais rien ne fonctionne et je ne trouve pas de tuto qui explique comment faire simplement. Mon probleme est que meme avec virtualbox rien ne fonctionne. Cela m'ennuie car lhc@home est une des rares applications qui sont tres interessantes sous boinc avec gpugrid et world community grid. Merci de votre aide. hello I don’t want to do calculations with cvfms but with virtualbox. I don’t want to make a native application because I’m new to linux and I don’t understand how to install cvfms, That’s why I want to use virtualbox. I followed tutorials to install cvfms but nothing works and I can’t find a tutorial that explains how to do it simply. My problem is that even with virtualbox nothing works. This bothers me because lhc@home is one of the few applications that are very interesting under boinc with gpugrid and world community grid. Thanks for your help.
