Daily quota exceeded

Is this a problem? What can be done in this case? I've got >1000 pending creds and my RAC didn't move since this time. |

Daily quota exceeded
(Message 7433)
Posted 5 May 2005 by mark Post: > Can you give an estimate on how many workunits your dual-CPU machine can process in a day? I use a dual Athlon MP 2800+ with 1GB Ram since Monday for LHC (100%) and it computed 280 results within that time. => 280/3 days = 93 WUs per day But every day this PC reached the quota (~16 times per day), so there is the possibility to compute more WUs. > Isn't deadlines, benchmarks and estimated cpu time used to prevent this? I think that's right: On the first day my client downloaded about 90 WUs after benchmarking. Other machines download less than that: I use a 600MHz machine too and that only fetches 10 WUs. I think that the quota can be doubled without problems. Another solution: doesn't the scheduler know how much WUs were sent and received? So when there are zero left, it can send more. |

Daily Quota?
(Message 5871)
Posted 22 Feb 2005 by mark Post: The Webpage shows that (over the day) less than 80 connections are established, yesterday as lhc had the overload there were over 150 connections. Isn't that a sign to cancel the daily quota? =) |

The website-cache is weird...

Posted 22 Feb 2005 by mark Post: Every page has another date so every page shows different stats: home - seems to be up to date home/computers - other recent avg time (but maybe this is intended) teamsite - 1 hour delay top teams - several hours delay, each subsite (1-20, 21-40, ...) has a different delay: Place 20 with Recent Avg 0.31, then next page: place 21 with 1.66 I guess/hope this will be fixed =) |

Daily Quota?
(Message 5703)
Posted 21 Feb 2005 by mark Post: Hmm, after 3 hours crunching there is no work because of "daily quota"... Is this really neccessary? There are >5000 WUs ready but my PC can't do anything. |

How is the "user of the day" being determined?
(Message 4485)
Posted 27 Oct 2004 by mark Post: @yak: I have downloaded the 4.09 linux-client (binary) that can be downloaded from the lhc-page. The second PC uses a nightly 4.13-snapshot from the boinc.berkeley-page. I compiled it. |

How is the "user of the day" being determined?
(Message 4446)
Posted 27 Oct 2004 by mark Post: Is it randomized? Is it because of a "good" profile? Is it because of Credits? How can someone become user of the day (and what's so special about it)? I did not find an answer for that questions on the lhc@home site (maybe I'm blind *g*)... |
