22) Message boards : Theory Application : VM Usage question (Message 49450) Posted 8 Feb 2024 by Ryan Munro Post: I have Theory running on Windows in Virtualbox, I have quite a few tasks running, all ar around 2% now with about 9 days remaining, non anywhere close to completion, however in my stats the number of valid and completed tasks goes up constantly with lots of small runtime units being submitted and validated, is theory in the VM running lots of small tasks rather than one task that's due to take 10 days?
23) Message boards : CMS Application : Virtualbox tasks failing on Linux (Message 49378) Posted 3 Feb 2024 by Ryan Munro Post: Seem to have sorted it, adding an override file didn't seem to work but after some searching here editing this file /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/boinc-client.service and changing ProtectSystem=strict to full seems to have fixed it, ill keep an eye on outputs.

This sudo version is lower than 1.9.10. It does not support regular expressions. Hence, sudoers will not be modified. Error running /tmp/prepare_theory_native_environment" Bit of A Linux n00b, does this mean I will need to wait for software updates before I can run Theory? (Running Linux Mint) I did have theory running briefly, but had to reinstalled and now its failing every time.

Might just go back to Windows on this box as its much simpler, just loose out on a few apps.

Ill check the Vbox site for details on how to check its running thanks.

If so would it be best for us to wait for roll out and just block Theory for now rather than trying to get the current version to work?
