New work when?
(Message 11931)
Posted 14 Jan 2006 by Trulayne Post: This is a little like watching a volcano getting ready to explode. As we see the ready to crunch numbers rise, it's like watching the dome inside the volcano creater rise. We know it will explode at some time but do not know when or how large it needs to get before it erupts. |

New work when?
(Message 11919)
Posted 14 Jan 2006 by Trulayne Post: Just a guess, but perhaps they are stock-piling the work before opening the flood gates. I think you are right. With as many users as LHC has, they may not want to run out before we all get a chance to start crunching again. |

can't download
(Message 11765)
Posted 30 Dec 2005 by Trulayne Post: There isn't work for me either. Is it actually using the computer's resources even though theres no work? Aren't the computer's resources spread over to the other applications such as seti until there is? Yes, any resources from a project with no work are equally spread throughout the other projects with work. |

Host corruption
(Message 10990)
Posted 25 Oct 2005 by Trulayne Post: After reading the posts, all host info corrected after an update and manual venue change. Since then there has been credit granted and that host again had corupted info. Again updating and manual venue change corrected that host info. It would appear that the validator is causing this corruption. |
