1) Message boards : Number crunching : Host messing up tons of results (Message 27068) Posted 19 Jan 2015 by antti Post: Would this help with the faulty hosts? <daily_result_quota> N </daily_result_quota> Each host has a field MRD in the interval [1 .. daily_result_quota]; it's initially daily_result_quota, and is adjusted as the host sends good or bad results. The maximum number of jobs sent to a given host in a 24-hour period is MRD(NCPUS + GMNGPUS). You can use this to limit the impact of faulty hosts.

4) Message boards : Number crunching : no more work? (Message 23767) Posted 8 Dec 2011 by antti Post: Deadline should be made shorter. Most of the work gets returned quickly but then there are the last ~2000 that just sit in caches for 7 days before they time out. Change it to 4 or 5 days for the first try and 2 days for resends. This way the scientists don't need to wait so long and we get credits faster.
