Here is a Collection of Placemarks that show the location of some Projects.

Google Earth Software is free and can be found here: http://earth.google.com/ (You need an Internet Connection while using it, Broadband is recommended!)

Placemark collection can be found here: http://www.pcschmiede.de.tf/boinc/

Feel free to share the URL because i will update it with new Data as soon as available.

Further Updates:
- build a Layer that fits to Arecibo Observatory
- find out where the Cell Computing Project is located

No, unless you reset or detach from LHC your Work will be reported after the deadline.

So just wait and let BOINC run ;)

And here another Mental impetus for the can't open logfile error:

After having the same error with my own BOINC-Server i changed the permissions for the Server-log-directories so that the webserver and root(user who starts BOINC respectivly) can read/write the dirs(you may have more then one).

There is probably a solution for the can't open logfile error:

I Installed BOINC on my System at home and all worked fine. Then i set my apache to run as wwwrun/www instead of nobody and this error occured. Just a little Mental impetus ;)

Post:
Yes there is only one Screensaver in the Windows Settings tab. If you deactivate this you deactivate it for all projects.

Just deactivate the LHC Screensaver and choose a windows one. This is at the moment the best solution.

imho: The screensaver is just for fun because it takes a lot of power from computing.
10) Questions and Answers : Preferences : Changed Location of Host but nothing happened (Message 4379)

Post:
I changed the Location of my Host 15477 from Home to School and set new general prefs for School.

But in my client_state.xml there is set Home as location.

I have only LHC running and updated some times.

Is this a known bug??
11) Questions and Answers : Getting started : Wrong Cross-Project ID?? (Message 4372)
Posted 26 Oct 2004 by ChristianB
Post:
On the Your Account Pages I see my CPID as: (also in Seti)

85f8992c2922f1809d40864cb76a0c54

But this CPID doesn't work. I must use this one:

47a32b9750b419ddb3ecb58483c2b862

this is from www.boincstats.com

Whats the Problem with this??

I figured out that there are 4 different CPID's: 1 wrong, 1 for Seti+LHC and 1 for Predictor+Seti+LHC and 1 for pirates(which is also wrong).

I think there should be only one CPID, right?

by the way: I use the same email for all Projects.

12) Questions and Answers : Windows : Scheduler seems to be having some issues this morning (Message 3151)

Post:
I also had this bevaviour but then after 1-2 min i reupdated and all works fine. I think this is because of the heavy load the project gets. The Scheduler won't catch up with the request and then got a hiccup.
