1) Message boards : Number crunching : Unusually high credit for Atlas tasks on one computer. (Message 31559)

One thing different on this computer is that it is Windows Server 2008 R2, while all my other systems are Windows 10. I don't want to crunch Atlas if it's not returning valid results. All the other apps appear to run normally. I'll try sixtrack for a while.

Note: the projected runtime for Atlas on this computer is way off. It started at a little over 4 minutes and has now increased to almost 8 minutes for newer WUs!!! The percent complete counts up normally to 100% at the 5-8 minute mark and then sits at 100% for 2 1/2 hours before the task completes.

There is also strange behavior with the CPU clock. If I run Atlas by itself the CPU is stuck at 1.6 GHz. It should be 3.5 GHz. If I run POGS by itself the clock kicks to 3.5 GHz as it should. If I run Atlas (clock 1.6GHz) and then start a POGS task the clock kicks up to 3.5 GHz. This is how I'm currently running to clear the Atlas cache (4 jobs). After that I'll switch to another LHC project to see how they work.

I have one computer that is returning more than 10x the credits per Atlas tasks. Does anyone know what is happening here?

I have several other systems that are returning normal credit.
