1) Questions and Answers : Windows : Boinc manager login to localhost failed: wrong password (Message 11410)

I have only had trouble with it remembering a blank password. Any other password I have tried has been automatically put into the localhost for me.

While this isn't really an answer I would suggest changing the password to something easy to remember and type.

Does this password have to be entered whenever the computer is rebooted? I have a similar problem, and want to be able to have everything restart on its own, unattended.

To be specific, right now after a reboot, BOINC mgr can connect to localhost. If I then use it to connect to a remote machine (which works fine) and then reconnect to the localhost, it complains about my local password.

What is Pirates? Is it a valid BOINC project? When I saw the postings refering to "Pirates" I figured it was a BOINC hijacking by hackers.
