It seems some malcontent has deleted the original RDFRS team. Members of the RDF have created a new team and I hope you will join, re-join, us there:

Hi,
my account was set up to be a member of the \"Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science\" team. But when I logged in today my account was not associated with any team, and when I did a team search I could not find a \"Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science\" team.

Anybody know what is going on?

I have the same issue with Einstein@home as well.

Cheers,
Paul

A couple of physicists think so. They wonder if the LHC is being troubled by its own future.

Don't know if this is possible but when an application is downloaded it would be good (for you) if the file did not have a .exe extension but was renamed once downloaded. Many company firewalls don't allow the downloading of .exe files. Such firewalls seem to prevent Boinc clients behind the firewall in participating in LHC@home.

Note this is all conjecture on my part it's not like I'd actually try this at work.

Paul

Client Errors

Don't know if this applies but I was getting lots of client errors at a machine at work. The problem was the company proxydoesn't allow the downloading of files that end in ".exe". Apparently some of the download file names from LHC (and other boinc projects) ended in ".exe" they always resulted in errors. My solution was to suspend those projects on my work machine :(

Your millage may vary,
Paul
